FUKKTATSU ENKI brings the strongest form into this, having finished a close fourth behind a horse that was subsequently sold for 140,000stg at Loughrea early in the season. That form received a timely form boost when the horse that finished immediately in front of him won at Borris House last week, and he could be the one to side with in this. Old Comrades had made a promising debut when finishing placed at Curraghmore in late October, and whilst he was unable to back that up when failing to finish at Dromahane last month, he is likely a danger, as are the Clay Pigeons, who hails from an in-form stable, and Top Guy, who could be turned out quickly after falling on the final circuit at Ballindenisk last Sunday whilst still involved at the time.

CATALANI only found the now three-time bumper winner Ronnie Rules too strong when a close second at Taylorstown in May, and if he was to return in that form for his first start of the season, it would be hard to oppose him. Create The Future has finished placed in each of his two starts this season, and is the likely danger, whilst the now three-time runner Ashtown Park, and the previously track-placed Cosmic Blizzard, who went close at Boulta last time, are others capable of getting involved.

MADAME LESTRANGE is starting to become costly for her supporters having been a beaten favourite in each of her last three starts, including when third at Peppards Castle on her return to action in October. This would look like a winnable opportunity if she could return to the promise of her first two outings. Our Girl Sal held place claims when falling three-out at Turtulla on her first start since switching stables, but she has twice been placed over hurdles which leaves her as the obvious danger.

WINGED LEADER is currently on a 13-run winning streak which began at Farmacaffley in February, and he would certainly hold leading claims to extend that here. The reigning champion point-to-pointer faced his toughest test so far this season at Moig South last time, but still got the job done. Pat Coyne has been out of luck in his latest two efforts, but did win at Curraghmore, whilst Milan Forth has already won three times this season and would not be without his chances on what would be his first step into open grade.

DIXIE MAFIA has put together back-to-back victories in recent weeks at Damma House and Boulta, and he will likely be the favourite to extend that to a hat-trick in this. His stablemate I Masked Du Potier went close in a decent race at Moig South last month and that should give Pat Doyle a strong hand in this. But the biggest threat from outside of that stable should come from Grageen, as the former hunter chase runner-up returned in good form when third in an open at Tinahely last time and is sure to step forward from it.
